Latest News on Golf at Grand Bear

The health and safety of our staff and guests are the highest priority at Grand Bear. To that end, following the orders from Governor Reeves and general recommendations of health officials, and out of an abundance of caution related to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Grand Bear has made the decision to extend the temporary closure through April 30. We are planning to reopen May 1, 2020, subject to change. This property closure includes the golf course and practice facilities, golf ship and the Grand Bear Grill.

The decision to close is consistent with orders from local and state officials, and general recommendations of the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control and prevention. While health experts continue to advise the risk of contracting COVID-19 on the golf course remains low, we are fully supportive of all efforts to protect the health and well-being of the Grand Bear team, customers, and of all of our families and loved ones.

While we embrace the opportunity to stand with our community and support the “stay home for Mississippi” campaign, we look forward to reopening our doors, welcoming back to work our valued Grand Bear team members, and once again providing one of the finest golf experiences in Mississippi.

Grand Bear management will continually monitor this ever-changing situation, reassessing and adjusting as new information becomes available, and we will provide all updates at the earliest possible time. We apologize for any inconvenience, but appreciate the unwavering support of our loyal patrons and Mississippi Gulf Coast community.

Thank You.
